I have a 2 month old son who weights almost 13 pounds that LOVES the Kangaroo hold in the Moby.

Sounds like a hip carry would be a great solution.

I was going to suggest a woven wrap as well. Many people in your situation try a high back carry however you would have to get a non stretchy wrap for that.

here's the Moby site. They recommend three different holds. With a Moby the holds are limited because it's a stretchy wrap. A woven wrap would give you a lot more options. You could google "woven wrap" and get a lot of choices. Good luck!
