It is true in many ways. I stayed home and did part time day care to earn pizza and money for park district and Y classes. But, it is not for everyone.

Being a new parent and jumping in the way I did, I don't know that I could be a stay at home Mom. YSD would absolutely love it. But I have to admit that I don't know that it would be best for her. Independence does not come naturally or easily to her, so this area of her life my not improve from me being at home. DH would go stir crazy being at home!!! I will say that working outside the home means that both of us have to sacrifice adult time after work so that we spend time with the girls, but it's not a bad sacrifice at all!

I honestly don't know how everyone gets what they need to get done if one parent doesen't stay home. My husband couldn't figure out what I did, so he asked me to write everything I did in a day down. Even with dd in school, I do more than 65+ things for my family, in a day, before I even start cooking dinner, helping with homework, baths, bedtime, etc. and dd isn't even involved in a sport right now. I don't find myself to be any kind of overachiver either. I meet these woment that work, have perfect homes, are involved
