I am just as happy as can be that Abby(4) has learned some letters. She can now identify several of them and can almost write her own name. This is an incredible relief for us to know that it might not be as hard for her to learn as we had been warned. Abby has developmental problems so we had been prepared for the worst. This is a HUGE accomplishment for her!

It IS a huge accomplishment! I'm so happy for you. I wanted to let you know that she's right on where Rachel is. Rachel has just started (within the last month or 2) to write her own name and other letters. She site reads most of them confusing the M, N, W, U, V and sometimes T and I...but she gets the rest!

WTG Abby!

I am glad to hear that Abby is near where Rachel is. I read other boards and I get so discouraged, even on the board I mainly post too, (developmental delays), many of the two and three year olds are way ahead of her. I think it is more normal for girls our kids' age to be where they are than to know the whole alphabet backwards, be reading paragraphs and able to count to a million like it seems so many are reporting about their kids.

LOL, Rachel has a lot more letters to write in her name than Abby does. I was going to teach her Abigail but thought we would start out easier with just "Abby".

Thanks.

Poor Victoria...it'll take her until she's 10 to learn how to spell HER name...maybe we'll start with Tori :-)

Yay for Abby! That is so awesome to see them begin letters!

Soon she'll be reading your email over your shoulder and correcting your posts!
