Hi Marcey.

I had planned to have a dull day doing nothing but house cleaning and school (I homeschool), but public school got canceled due to an ice storm so my daughters spent the whole day at the gym.

I decided to go to my gym early to work out, and I ended up doing the routine from *&^^%%$&. I am so stiff and sore I can hardly move. I can only imagine what I will feel like tomorrow.

Hope your day went well.

Thanks Marcey.

I started working out about 1 1/2 years ago and I just love it! I have always exercised, but I noticed that while I have never gained weight (even after 4 kids), I have lost lots of muscle strength. I didn't want to be one of those soft, noodle people that can barely walk when I am elderly.

So I started slow with weights, mainly working a few machines and doing some cardio, and now I am really getting into harder workouts with free weights. I will be 40 years old in August and I am going to brag and say that I am in great shape now. I actually have really toned biceps, triceps, stomach and legs. The most important thing though, is that I feel really good. I have tons more energy, I am not depressed (which I had lots of problems with before I started working out), and I feel good about myself.

I would absolutely encourage all moms to get involved with a gym. I have made friends and I look forward to going 4 or 5 nites a week. It takes about 1 hour a day to work out. I have an extremely busy lifestyle, so I understand how people feel they may not have time.

I hope you find a gym you like and stick with it. You will just love the results.
