at your house? I have two dd's, one with very long hair and the other with shoulder length hair and I have spent a small fortune on clippies and scrunchies. I know that somewhere in this house there must be hundreds of pony tail holders and barrettes but we can NEVER find one when we need it. I have bought special bins for these things, designated special places for them all and YIKES...the hair accessorie monster still manages to find them and take them all. LOL! Does anyone else deal with this thing???

Mine don't disappear at HOME, but at daycare. I've spent a small fortune in stuff for my 4 year olds hair...and they play 'beauty parlor' at daycare and some how, the pony's, scrunchies, barretts...all get left behind and lost.

Drives me nuts...the tough part in this is that she has WAY too much hair to use the little dollar store barretts. I have to buy 'mommy' barretts and they COST more.

We're sticking with ponies (the rubber band ones, I cut them out) until I switch providers in June.

If I added up everything I have ever spent on hair thingies, hair madohickies and thingamabobs, I think I could send one of my children to a private boarding school for a year.

I just cant figure out where things go. They leave with stuff in their hair, they come home with it, but somehow it disappears in the middle of the nite. We won't even include the special glitter and stuff they have to wear for competition--WOW!

It is a very similar situation to the sock monster. Do any of you have one of those too?

I'm am the proud mother of a baldie. At 18 months old my poor dd is often mistaken for a boy, even when she's wearing pink, because her hair is so short. But, if the day ever arrives that she will actually be able to wear hair accessories, I'm sure they'll be disappearing at an alarming rate at my house too. lol

= ) Krista and RaeLynne (who needs hair to be beautiful?)

We're expecting # 3 EDD July 14, 2004!!

This is soooo funny! I'm a lurker, but HI KARLA (tallthinmom)

I was just lamenting this same topic an hour ago.

I walked around our entire home and tried to locate rubberbands. I moved pillows, looked under coffe tables, checked dresser knobs...and found 9 and one clip. I think I just bought the 50x pony collection at Target too, but who knows where the other 41 are.

Ee-gads! Now I know what my mom was complaining about!

And yes, I am missing socks. (and a bra I just bought, but that's another story for another day - and it doesn't go in the dryer and Katie is 2.5...hmmm.)

Oh well, it's always a treasure hunt around here.

Well a big hello to you Michelle!!I'm so glad to see you over here. Stick around, this board is in the process of rebuilding.

LOL, we have tried special bins for hair care stuff, specially designated drawers and just about everything else. I know we must have at least 50 scrunchies of every different color and material in this house but where on earth are they???I can't for the life of me figure out where it all goes.
