Does dad do enough?

I saw a video or page linked around FB this weekend about dad's who aren't really dads and engage with their kids. It seems like a lot of dads are like this. Does your DD's dad engage with her? Or does he find an excuse to do something else?

My DH does not do any housework or cooking but he certainly does engage with his daughter.

I don't think my DH is like this at all. Grant it he was a single Dad for many years, but he tucks DD10 in every night. He's shuttled the girls around for ages. Now that DD18 can drive herself, he has a bit less of this. It's harder with DD18. She's not into talking with us so much right now and you can't make someone talk to you. Overall DH has done a good job. Yes, he looses his patiences at times, but what parent doesn't. And DH says he wishes he could go back and redo a bit of stuf from when his first marriage went bad. Just in regards to the kids. Keeping DD18 closer is all he would change though. So no - DH does his part!!
