I am not sure, so I would love some input. Alexis is very competitive, but mostly with herself.....competitive must not be the word I need. What I mean is, she is always pushing herself to do something (usually acedemically) that she hasn't done before. Be it reading a higher level book, learning something with math.....and it escelates to getting the most AR points in her class, or getting the best grade on a paper.

Anyone else have a girl like this? Do you think its a girl thing, a first born thing, or just a personalitly trait? Love to see some opinions!

I'm gonna put my vote in for a personality trait.

My first born couldn't care less about academics...but he is also a boy, so I don't know if it is a girl thing, either. Being a girl and a first-born myself, I don't remember really pushing myself but I have always been pretty competitive with others. I enjoyed school and I always got good grades.

I think that it is wonderful that your daughter knows what she wants and will go after it! Always trying to better herself--- she's going to be a leader!

Thanks for the thoughts--I think it probably is her personality.....but I wondered about the first child thing too--seeing as I was the baby *wink*.

Thanks again!
