hi! and thanks for the welcome. so you have 2 girls also? Keaton is 10 going on 25 and Anna is 9 going on 5, lately anyway. She has given me fits all summer. Has school started for your girls yet? We started Aug. 8. Keaton is my cheerleader and Anna is my softball and basketball player. She also starts soccer for the first time next month. She is my tomboy. I bet Sarah is a big help with Abby. Mine we're 19 mos apart but they have totally differnt personalities. Would love to hear more about ya'll.

Hi Stacey,

I have 2 girls and 2 boys. Both my girls are younger than their brothers. Sarah is 10 (she had a great b-day thank you)and she is very involved in gymnastics right now. Last year was her first year to compete and she won the state championships for her level. She had an incredible season. She has already started off this year with a first place win so we are hoping for another incredible season. Sarah is really blessed with athletic talent. She is probably going to be too tall to take it very far but she is having much fun with it now. Sarah is 4'8", 73 lbs. and has very blonde hair and blue/grey eyes. She is trying to grow her bangs out but her hair grows very slow. She doesn't like to read though I am trying to get her to read more. She struggles with school subjects greatly though she does try hard. Sarah is in the 5th grade and we started school about 3 weeks ago. (I homeschool my kids.)

Abby is 4 is tall and thin with long brown hair and blue/grey eyes. She loves sponge Bob and Elmo. She also takes gymnastics and just loves it. She may not get to the competition team (she has mild CP) but she still has a ball with it. She just loves playing "make-up" with her sister Sarah.

I just love having girls (and boys too for that matter) and I love talking about them. I look forward to hearing more about your girls.

Hi Karla,

How was your weekend? We were so busy And I'am so tired and it's only Monday. Sarah's gymnasics is very impressive. My Anna is like that in softball. She started playing tee-ball when she was only 3 yrs. old. Keaton used to take gymnastics but now she takes cheernastics because it's required by her cheerleading coach. It teaches more cheering & stunts. Keaton started Middle School this year, she's in 5th and Anna is still at the Elementary in 4th. It's the first time they have been seperated since preschool and Kindegarden. Keaton has been in the gifted program since 2nd grade. She likes to read if it's something she enjoys. She's currently reading The Dear America series about the lives of young girls during the Revolutionary War. She became really interested in these different series last year. Her favorite was Dear Addie. It took place during the Civil War. But don't get me wrong she loves books that make her laugh just as much. Anna loves Junie B. Jones and I must admit so do I. She still loves to read to other people much more than alone. I admire anyone who can successfully homeschool their kids. Annabanana is my wildchild and Keaton is 10 going on 25 or so she thinks. I know exactly what you mean I love having my 2 girls. Anna & I are trying to deal with some behavioral issues at the moment so things have been a little crazy here lately. Abby & Anna have something in common- SPONGEBOB! She loves him. Her b'day is in July and for the last two years we have had Spongebob parties. Hope to hear more from ya'll soon!

We had a very nice productive weekend. We got tons of yard work done and mostly just relaxed. We very seldom ever have weekends like this. Sarah's competitions will start in October and then it will be just one after another until December.

I love the Dear America series also. My 12 year old son reads anything he can get his hands on and we have read tons of them. I love homeschooling my kids and I have actually gotten my oldest in college. He is 16 and has just started his 3rd sememster. He is doing pretty good considering how young he is. He is not a genius or anything, just a really good student.

Tell me some more about the "cheernastics". What kind of things do they do?

The main difference is they don't use the beams or bars in cheernastics and they don't recommend it for kids under 6 or 7. They teach all aspects of cheering and not just the gymnastic part. Cheers, jumps, stunts, dance routines, etc. Keaton's squad competes and it has helped them alot because they are able to practice their whole routine at the same time. Have a safe Labor Day!
