How long is too long

Lizzie has a friend who often invites a friend to stay with her for a week. Much of this time is spent unsupervised as it is a single parent household and the father has to work, and many evenings he is off with his son at something related to baseball. My opinion is that one night and into the next day is more than enough time to spend together. I don't permit 2 consecutive overnight sleepovers because they just don't sleep well and they don't eat well either....and at the end I'm left to deal with a grumpy, tired, junk food filled kid. We only live 5 minutes from this girl so I can drive Lizzie over to her house whenever she wants to go....within my schedule of course. Starting Sunday a friend is coming over to spend a week....and I'm hearing comments about how "Jane" gets to spend a whole week with "Sally" and how lucky she is., I have told Lizzie that I don't think that a full week of consecutive sleepovers aren't a good idea and why.....and even though she doesn't say so....she thinks that I'm being unreasonable. What do you think???

Ramona Mom to 2 great kids and wife to one wonderful hubby since 1990!
The other girl lives about 1 hour away. She was a bff before the hostess moved to her new home. She came once and stayed at the house for a week, and is supposed to return Sunday for another week. The funny thing is that the hostess girl had a job and worked from 8 - 4 and the guest stayed at the house alone.....not something that I would permit at all! (or perhaps with the hostess' brother, not sure where he was....he is a few years younger.) Don't know the parents or what they think.......Me I'lm just not comfortable with this on so many fronts!
That's the way that I think!
Thanks I agree as well! It would be different if she were going on vacation with them or being far away, but only 5 minutes away it is too much!
