I'm Kristie. I live in Alaska, so no, Spring is not here yet. We might start to see some signs of spring by the end of the month. This morning on the way to work it was -21 outside. It's supposed to get above zero today, so that will be nice.
I work in the financial world and this is the time of year when things start to pick up. I actually have a complicated file on my desk right now that I'm trying to avoid. :0) I love taking pictures and doing things with the girls.
The girls are not actually mine. They are my DF's. I will be SM in less than three months now!! DD18 is a senior and very excited about graduating. DD10 is in the 4th grade and sick of homework already, but she's good about doing it. DD18 is very athletic and is hoping to play volleyball in college. Otherwise, she's into getting her hair just right and playing more volleyball. :0) DD10 doesn't really enjoy sports much at all. She's much more artistic and plays the trombone. For such a skinny little thing, she can really play that thing!! Can't say that I love listening to her practice every night, but we'll live!! :-)
This was a tough week. Just lots of little junk and one big thing. My Mom was in a roll over car accident yesterday. (a witness told her her vehicle rolled 9 times). Thankfully, she only suffered a minor concussion and some bumps and bruises. The Lord was definately watching over her!!! A diamond fell out of my engagement ring. Again, thankfully the jeweler was really great and is taking care of everything at no charge. My Dad is ill - I worry about him some. He'll be 70 in a couple of weeks and ever since he lost his friend, he's been down in the dumps. I'm glad he will be coming up here next week and staying will us for the summer. (my Sister and I).
DF's and I's wedding plans are coming along nicely!! I think the only decorations to purchase are the table clothes (I don't know how many to get - the venue is not open in the winter and it's either been too cold or too much snow to take a walk through the snow) and maybe two vine wreaths to decorate the church. I'd like to add straps to my dress, and I'm working with a vendor online. She has some beautiful options. Her busineses is very busy, so I just have to be patient.
It's such a miracle that my Mom wasn't hurt!! The airbag didn't deploy but she was hit on the side. Her vehicle kept it's structure for the most part and the EMT told her that she must have had really good shocks for her vehicle to still be in one piece. So it's worth it to keep our cars well maintained!!!! Dad is sounding better, he's just not been out of the house in a week, so he's getting bored!!
Thanks Moss, Dad really seems to be on the mend and he's going to be here this coming Saturday, so we will spoil him a bit. He will be 70 in less than two weeks, so he deserves a bit of spoiling. Mom had a little bit of a set back. She was still feeling foggy headed yesterday, so she went right to the doctor and they gave her some medication to help and did more tests. Next week she will have some nerve tests. She can't go to work or drive for three weeks. She will be bored very soon, so we will all be making lots of phone calls!! Thank goodness for roll over minutes!!! :0)
absolutely!! We only get them for so long!! Dad is arriving tomorrow and he will be here all summer!!! Mom went back to the doctors today. I guess her vision is now not right. Please keep praying for her!!
