To My 13-Year-Old, An iPhone Contract From Your Mom, With Love

This is a contract that a mom has with her son regarding his cell phone.  Do you have a contract with your child??  What things would you include in the contract.

I don't have any specific rules for DD and her phone other than no picture texts as they cost extra and checking her allowance so she does not go over the number of texts and leaves me with a big bill.  She takes her phone to school so she can talk to friends who are at different schools.  Having said that, it is kept in her bag and she is not allowed to use it except during breaks (school rule).  She needs to text her Dad to arrange a pick up after school and her friend who walks with her in the mornings.  If problems occur we will discuss setting rules.

Our rule is we pay for it, so it is technically ours.  We may check your phone at any time for texts and calls.  We may also take it away if we feel that it is necessary!  No texting at the dinner table, you may take it to school, but you need to follow the rules with it at school.  No sexting, That's about it for us!
