What do you think about stopping this exchange? Does it promote exclusion? I have great memories of passing out Valentine's to all my classmates. I might not have liked handing one to some but I did (I remember not wanting to give one to an icky boy because rumor had it he had a crush on me and I didn't want to encourage that! LOL)

What do you think? Valentine's Day exchanges.... a keeper or good riddance?

a keeper! Kids need to have some fun from time to time and sometimes I think it's good for them to deal with disappointment from time to time. It's a natural part of life. I would just ask DD10 to give one to each kid in her class. Not that she wouldn't she's much to fair minded for that!! :0)

Can't really comment. Where I live Valentine's Day is for lovers and couples not children and famillies so handing out cards to the whole class never happens.
