Raising girls

I was thinking this might be kinda of like what we call a wine cooler. And it's not really cool for teenagers to drink those here in the US. I'm surprised that wine coolers have survived. Not a lot of people drink them that I know of. But you are right they taste like a yummy fruity drink and go down easy. Then wham - the alcohol hits you. I feel a little awkward at parties because I don't drink either. Drinking really gets my stomach upset. Not in a drunk kind of way. I can have a less than a 1/2 glass of wine and be sick to my stomach. So drinking has totally lost it's appeal to me. I agree that if we forbid things, kids tend to run directly to what we forbid.

I didn't make it through all of the article, but I will try to come back to it. Sounds like the book is really extensive which is nice. I think it's good to keep the lines of communication between parents open. I know my parents knew my friends parents. They could compare notes and see what was up. This doesn't seem to be the case these days. I've not heard of alchopops either. That's probably not a good thing. Thanks for sharing MOss!!!
