I must agree!  In the schools it bothers me that parents send children to school sick, and exposing them to other germs and anotther possible secondary infection.  Plus they are spreading the germs to everyone else around them.  College students because of their social lives, classwork ,living in dorms,  etc are know to be susceptable to illnesses.  To expose her class to the baby's germs is totally not acceptable.  And lastly a sick child needs a quiet environment and time to rest, as well as the care and concern of a parent or caretaker.  This child was unable to get the parent's full attention while she was teaching, nor could she properly rest.  And lastly a college course costs a lot of money......you definietly were not getting the instructor's full attention nor did you get your money's worth from the class.  You are paying this professor to teach.....not care for a sick child.  This is just so wrong in so many areas.  The breastfeeding.....isnt' as big of a deal if all was covered.....if it wasn't then it is another issue.  .....the fact that she had to do it in the middle of class because she had a sick child is even more important.  Parenting is a choice full of choices.  You must also plan ahead on what you are going to do if you your plans much change because of a sick child.  It's her responsibility for her to work out alternate childcare that gives her childre time to rest and recover, and not expose everyone to her child's germs!

I am more upset that she dragged a sick baby around. The poor thing is sick, it needs quiet and rest. Not be dragged about, handed out to others, and sharing germs and getting more germs from others. If she breastfed with a blanket or such, where everything is hidden, who cares really. I think I would be upset as a student that she was not giving the class it's full attention.
