...that is OSD.  I'm not sure if the peaks and valleys are just not as high and deep or if we are just getting better at holding on tight, but it doesn't seem as bad.

OSD moved out this summer.  She's been in an apartment with one of her teammates (and teammates BF(that's another story)) at BM's BF's house (BM lives with her BF).

OSD wasn't able to go on vacation with us this past week and while we were away, she texted DH and said she needs to talk to him about her living arrangements.  I've always figured that the only reason she would move home is if she had a big blow up with BM.  Otherwise, she would stay there.  Now that we are home, OSD has gone from I'm staying at Mom's to I'm moving back home tomorrow in three days.

We did have a good talk with her about what we expect now that she's home.  Picking up after herself, keeping her bathroom clean, contributing to the rest of the household chores and just being a part of the family.  She was actually really calm about it all and even agreed to give up her pet rabit.  We have three cats and one is a major hunter, so we've always told OSD not until we don't have cats.  I hate to see her loose her pet, but I don't want the poor thing killed by the cats either.

BM has found out about OSD moving back home and is calling and texting a ton.  It may be a long night for us.

Sorry I've been away for so long.  I have a new possition at work and it's really keeping me busy!!!  I love it, but I don't get too much down time.  I now run a department of 6 and manage a loan portfolio of almost 2500.  We had a nice vacation.  Went back to my home town for my neices wedding.  Super hot there, but the wedding was nice and it was good for me to stay with my Mom and see how she is doing.  I don't think she will ever be the same again, but I know she will manage. GBM is officially moved and she has finally started to build her new house.  Major permit problems.  DH and I had two wholes weeks all to ourselves last month.  We worked a bunch of OT, but still had breakfast out together each weekend, went for walks, and on a four wheeler trip.  It was terrific!!!!

I hope you all have been doing well!!!

I'm sure that she had her reasons for moving home,  and it was good tht you explained your expectations to her!  Perhaps after seeing the grass on the other side she will be more willing to cooperate!  Congrats on the new job!  I'm sure that it is busy, but also rewarding!  Hope that it gives you more downtime as you learn your job!

We are doing well.  Heading to the University of Pittsburgh tomorrow with Lizzie to view the campus, observe an organic Chemistry class and meet with someone in the engineering dept.  On day 4 of 5 with Bible School.  I play a woman called Mamu who is the cook for the king and I run the food court and provide snacks for the kids as well.  Tomorrow is our last day and our biggest night with a snack for the kids and an ice cream social to set up afterwards for the famlies!  It's been fun but I must admit that I'm tired.  My schedule won't let up until next Monday....by then I'll be totally exhausted.

The college serach sounds fun! and so does Bible School. Our church is too small, so we work with another church and combine our efforts. I hope tonight goes off fantastic and that you enjoy the social!!!

Everything went fine but at the end I was exhausted!  Couldn't wait to hit the bed after a hot bath to take away my aching joints!  After spending most of the day walking around the college campus in 94 degree weather we were tired before bible school even started!

Hi Kristie

I can see that things don't change too much! I hope OSD comes back and settles down with you happily.  How is she getting on with the volleyball and college?    How is YSD?  Your new job sounds good but busy.

It's quiet at work this week as I am on my own - there are usually three of us - and the students and many other staff are on vacation.  DD starts high school in about 2 weeks (they go to high school a couple of years earlier here than in the US.)   She's going to a fairly small school and is looking forward to it.  We've got all her uniform and hockey and sports stuff - we just need to get black shoes and she needs to have her hair trimmed.  (She looks nothing like the siggy photo - more like a teenager -  as that was about 18 months ago!!'

Thanks Moss - So far we are doing ok. We did inherit her rabbit, but it is a cute little thing. OSD is still in volleyball. She starts next week. We have our fingers crossed that she will make the travel team. She also has all of her classes set up and she seems happy with them. The BM drama is still on going, but she's managing. I know the push and pull of this wears OSD out some, but hopefully it will fade away again soon.

YSD is growing like a weed. She wears my size shoes already and she's only 11. She's super excited about 6th grade and being the old kids. We were able to go school clothes shopping when we went to Michigan, so that was fun too.

Sounds like your DD is growing up too fast too!! :0) YSD asked for a temporary tatoo from the fair last week. UGH!! LOL!!!!! Do you have junior high in your country? We have that between elementary grades and high school.

We've had those temps a lot during the summer.....JUly was the hottest on record.  I totally enjoyed the weird cool overcast day we had.....temps in the 60's!  Froze corn with the windows open and didn't break a sweat!
