Our society definately has a double standard in this regard. Otherwise a young mans sexual orientation would not be questioned if he enjoyed dance, cheer, or the like. I have a neice that did play on the HS boys football team and she did ok too. But her younger brother wasn't interested in sports. My brother, his Dad, didn't really like sports growing up either and my nephew enjoys drawing, but he gets that from his Dad too. While my brother can not draw, he loves comic books, so they've always been around. That's where I think my nephew gets his drawing thing from. While drawing isn't considered girly, it's not exactly the big manly thing to do either. So I do think we have a double standard. I think it's better to use the talents God has given us and leave it at that.

What's funny to me is that our society doesn't see that we've proven ourselves wrong through history. Example: Only woman had been teachers and nurses. It's such a mixed field now and it's benefited both men and woman so very much!!

Exactly. How many woman politician and executives do we have these days. For me, I know I am more comfortbale with a female nurse, but a man may want a male nurse. We all have our own comfort levels and that's why we should be smart enough to work together and not take offense when it's just plain not necessary!!

Being a nurse I don't look at gender for my comfort.
