and it feels like summer!! Sarah is doing better at swimming this year. She isn't such a chicken and she is even hoping to be able to go off the diving board soon.

Abby has really long but thin hair and I am worried what all the sun and chlorine might do to her hair. I have a spray on conditioner that I put on it right before we go swimming (the hairdresser told me to do this for Sarah so her's doesn't turn green). Is there anything else I should be doing for her hair?

We have pool weather too, unfortunately no pool. The last two days we've gone to the public outdoor pool and kids are free so its only $3.50 for me. Cheap entertainment. Its also right beside Kristen's school so there are usually kids there she knows.

No idea about the hair. Kristen's is dark so its not really an issue for us. I guess just use the conditioner, although I know that L'Oreal makes a kid shampoo for kids that are in the pool. You might want to check that out since its no tears. Have fun.

Make sure that when they are done swimming you use a 'clarifying' shampoo. Suave has one that is really very mild. It will strip all of the pool chemicals out of their hair. Then condition heavily too add softness.

We finally have great pool weather too...ours goes up this weekend!

Have a great summer!

Where are you Karla? I'm just outside of Vancouver, BC, Canada and it's been quite warm this past week (supposed to get rain tomorrow). Do you have a pool? We have an inflatable pool ($9 from Toys R Us) but last year Catherine bit it and now it won't inflate properlly... however, with having Gary (14 months), I got smart - I got one of those water sprinkler things (got it with my airmiles). Both kids love it, and I don't need to worry about Gary slipping and drowning! :-)

Hopefully your summer weather will continue!!

We live in Indiana and last week was the first week of "real" summer weather we have had. I had all the inflatable pools and slippy slidey things and sprinklers until just last year. My older kids are not satisfied with it any more so we now head over to the state park and swim at the giant pool(complete with 2 water slides and wading area). It's a bit pricey but if we buy a pass we get several visits at just half price. My kids are learning to swim too so it is worth it.
