Oh, I forgot to tell you that we did get to talk with DD18 and she didn't mind having the wedding near her graduation. She liked the idea of having more people there for hers too!!! Yea!!!!!! I also asked her to be in the wedding party. She didn't totally respond with a "oh absolutely" answer, but she didn't say no. She just said that it was up to DF and I. So DF asked her again too, so it looks like both the girls will be in the wedding party. There's a couple of things checked off the list. Now to just nail down that date!!!

Well, the dates are not matching up much, but maybe we will get things figured out this week! :0) We went dress shopping yesterday, but that didn't go very well. There is only one shop in our little town and it was badly put together. My BFF purchased her dress there not four years ago and it was such a nice shop. It's not any more! So we need to plan a trip out of town. I was hoping to avoid that and save the money, but not going to work. A little trip might be a lot of fun though!

It sounds like you're going to have quite the adventure of putting this wedding together! I hope you can find a dress and get a date nailed down soon! I think a BFF/wedding dress trip sounds like fun. :)

I'm glad DD18 is doing pretty well with this plan.

Did you say Alaska? Can I come? I'd love to get a chance to see Alaska!! We study the Iditarod every year and the parts they show on TV are just beautiful!

Yup Alaska is right. I really enjoy living here. THis morning it's -40 and I don't enjoy that, but the trade offs are worth it. So sure come on up!! :0) But if you ever do plan a trip, I recommend mid August. You need a jacket, but the tundra is changing colors and the animals are stirring a bit more, so you'd have a better chance of seeing them. Have you checked out Iditarod.com? It's a good site!! We have a different sled dog race start or finish in our town each year. It's called the Yukon Quest. Most towns have pedestrian crossing signs. We have dog sled crossing signs too.

BFF won't be able to make the wedding dress trip. She's too pregnant to fly and none of us really want to drive down. It take 6-8 hours on a good day and it's winter. And BFF doesn't think her being pregnant, having an almost two year old, and driving that far is a good mix. Her DH is in college, so he can't keep the baby for us. But my oldest Sister and maybe our middle sister will go this Friday.

I'm glad DD18 is doing okay too. I don't think she or her little sister will be happy with us for going dress shopping with out them, but it's just too expensive for all of us to fly down. We will all go back down in Feb when they have some time off school. I will have my last fitting and then they all can try on their dresses too. DF will drive, so everyone should be okay with that!

I do suggest dress shopping without the kids!

DF is really supportive of Sis and I's trip this weekend, so we're going! Still waiting to see if Sis #2 will join us, but it will be nice for us to get away and just chill a little. We've not done anything alone in many moons!!! It was a little hard to shop with so many people there. But we did get to do that this past Monday. And we will take everyone back down in Feb or March for them to try on their dresses. And this way we can make sure they are at the store too. Just wish we could get the date settled!! DD9 didn't get on the swim team just yet. They want her to be able to do the breathing thing before she's a member of the team. DF called to try to get some private insturction (recommended from the coach) this way she won't have to go through a big swim class thing. I'll keep you posted on the rest of the plans.
