I actually got certified as an archery instructor when I was a Girl Scout leader so that our girls could do archery.
My dad and uncle had a working cattle ranch, we all had to know how to handle firearms by the time we started school. It was in case we ever needed to put an injured animal down, when there were no adults around. I can also field dress a quadriped if necessary, I however, tend to buy my meat from the butcher. LOL! But should Armegeddon ever happen, I can take out a deer and process it, if I have to.
