Ramona Mom to 2 great kids and wife to one wonderful hubby since 1990!
I must agree!
For me there haven't been enough details given about the type of testing and how the couple was counseled to really form an educated opinion on the case. But rarely are large settlements given without there being some sort of negligence or fault. Maybe this couple was aware of their own personal limitations and would have terminated the pregnancy, knowing those limitations. Not everyone is cut out to raise a special needs child and not everyone see's it as a "gift" as many special needs parents do. My husband suffers a chronic illness, and God knows if I could also handle a special needs child. I am totally greatful my child is normal. I pray every day that things stay that way and that she remains healthy and whole and no harm comes to her. It's my greatest fear
