#40 - Fallon's Flame by Marie Hart

This is the first book in the Dawn Endeavor's series by Hart.  It's about DNA enhanced Navy Seals called Circ and their stories.  Interesting premise but not overly original.  Below is Amazon's description.

Genetic manipulation has created the first super soldier, the Circ. Able to transform into hulking, inhuman beasts at will, the second generation of Circs, under Project Dawn Endeavor, is much more dangerous than the first. The secret, psychically gifted four-man team who once worked for the U.S. Navy now belongs to the mysterious Mrs. Sharpe who is bent on cleaning up science gone wrong around the globe. She sends the men of Dawn Endeavor out on behalf of the United States government, but there’s more to her agenda than patriotism. If only the team knew what she really had planned.
There are few minds Jesse Fallon can’t read. Mrs. Sharpe’s is one of them. Olivia Lynn’s, the team’s new interpreter on their latest mission, is another. The woman is smart, sexy, and hell on Jesse's libido. Her lips say she refuses to become romantically involved with an ex-SEAL, but her body says something else entirely. Jesse’s Circ, and a Circ can never find satisfaction with a human, because only a Circ can ease his carnal needs. Except Olivia satisfies everything inside him and leaves him craving more. When the mission goes wrong, he’ll have to learn Olivia’s secrets in order to save her, and in turn, save himself. Because a Circ in love is a walking time bomb.

13- Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris

Another great Sookie Stackhouse adventure!  I've heard the series goes downhill though =(

Description:

As a person with so few living relatives, Louisiana cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse really hated to lose one. But she never guessed that it would be her cousin Hadley—a consort of the Vampire Queen of New Orleans. After all, technically speaking, Hadley was already dead. And now, as unexpected heir to Hadley’s estate, Sookie discovers the inheritance definitely comes with a risk.

Someone doesn’t want Sookie looking too deeply into Hadley’s past—or for that matter, Hadley’s possessions. And they’re prepared to do anything in their power to stop her. But who? The range of suspects runs from the Rogue Weres who reject Sookie as a friend of the Pack to the Vampire Queen herself, who could be working through a particularly vulnerable subject—Sookie’s first love, Bill.

Whoever it is, they’re definitely dangerous—and Sookie’s life is definitely on the line…

#39 - Hounded by Sadie Hart

This is the first book in Hart's Shifter Town Enforcement series.  It's about Hounds (Rodesian Ridgebacks, Wolfhounds, Bloodhounds) who are law enforcement for other shifters like lions.  It's interesting to have a book about dogs - LOL!  But it was a great story and I enjoyed it!  Below is Amazon's description.

Lion-shifters Kanon Reyes and Tegan Sharpe aren’t sure what Kanon’s done to earn himself a frame-up for murder, but they’re determined to keep him from a silver bullet and a shallow grave. To do that, though, they’ll have to rely on the sexy Hound sent to arrest him.

As a Hound for Shifter Town Enforcement, Lennox Donnelly is one of the best. But when one of her arrest warrants turns out to be for an innocent man, she’s determined to get to the truth. What she finds are dead witnesses and an untraceable magick–with a killer far more powerful than her.

Now, to survive, Lennox will have to learn to rely on more than just herself if she’s to make it back to the men she’s come to love.

30- Rover by Michael Rosen

Amber liked the twist that the dog narrates the story and thinks he's in charge of his humans!

Descriptions:

In this topsy-turvy picture book, the narrator is a good-natured garrulous dog who has a pet human being - small girl variety - named Rover. ("She has very weak claws. Her coat only covers her head.") Seeing the world through canine eyes both tickles the funnybone and broadens the listener's perspective. The shaggy dog's story even has suspense: he loses his pet human being at the beach.

This was a fun story about a little girl who thinks she can grow anything in her garden!

Description:

The girl in this book grows chocolate rabbits, tomatoes as big as beach balls, flowers that change color, and seashells in her garden.

How does your garden grow?
