I have some books listed at half.com, about 30 of them. (http://half.ebay.com/shops/shops.jsp?member_name=msmichele)I like it because I can just list them and forget about them. Just sold one this morning which was a great thing to see. Most of the ones I am selling I think there are tons of copies out there.....because they have been listed for ages!!! LOL

I have listed and sold books with Amazon . There is listing term I think of 60days before they remove your listing if it has not sold.

I alway check to see how many used copies there are listed before listing mine. Sometimes you will find that there are people "Looking" for a particular book that has not been listed. Those usually sell with in 24 hours.

If you see that there are several books posted already. Wait a little while before listing yours.

I also buy my books through Amazon. Most time I can purchase the books used and in excellent condition. Just check the sellers ratings first and keep all copies of the transaction.

If I buy books on-line, it's usually from Barnes and Noble, they seem to have better prices.

I have sold books on both Amazon and eBay but for the most part I just horde all the books that I buy unless I know that I will never read them ever again because I didn't like it at all.

I purchase books online a lot as well. I always want the books I buy to be in like new condition though so I am very picky. Plus, with S&H you do have to be very careful. If it is only the matter of a dollar or two I will always buy the brand new version of it at B&N instead on online-partially because I am a very impatient person!!

Yes, I've sold - and bought - on half.com since way before it was taken over by ebay. I've made a little money on it over the years, but have probably spent more than I've made, lol. It's just too tempting to find a book I've wanted at a really great price. I've only gotten burned once, when a book listed as "Like New" was in horrible shape. I don't have many books on there now, but have just sold several of the better ones I had on there, too, so that's why it looks a little sparse.

I buy from Amazon once in a while, esp if there's free shipping. But I've never sold any of my books.
