Posting this a day early so I don't forget to do it tomorrow ;-)    We got back to Ireland yesterday morning and we are all still jet-lagged.

Sooo, what is everyone reading this week? =)

I'm reading The Corpse of St. James's by Jeanne M. Dams. The Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny comes out tomorrow and I somehow forgot to request it at the library so I'm about 150th on the list. I'm sure that I'll download it to my kindle. I have no will power when it comes to one of her books even though I've got a stack of library books that I should read first.

Finishing the last couple of books in The Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot.  I have been staying up almost all night for the last couple of days to read these.

Kathie - oh yes it's impossible to wait for a favorite author's book when you can download it instantly!  That's the only drawback to the kindle - spending more money on books lol

Do you think you'll take a break from series and read some stand-alone's or do you already have your next series lined up? =)

I've been reading like crazy the past couple of days to get in some more books for the read-a-thon.  Finished one today and now I'm 3/4 through Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris.

Trying to squeeze a few more for the read-a-thon and The Princess Diaries series is due back to the library soon. Meg Cabot's The Mediator series sounds good so I want to check the library for them as I don't want to purchase these. My mystery local book club is reading Tomorrow River by Lesley Kagen for Sept 11 meeting (read this last year for the book of the month on iVillage) and since it is my pick I am ahead there. My other local book club theme is scientific occupations (not forensics) for Sept and art &/or museums for Oct's theme. So I guess I will have to find something for those themes. Most of the time I end up with an author that writes series when I hunt for these themes. LOL!!!

I started watching the Longmire series on TV and found out they are based on books so I have that on my huge TBR list......Last week I got fromthe bookstore I, Michael Bennet (the newest James Patterson) and Hide and Snake Murder by Jessie Chandler (#2 in her Shay O'Hanlon series). Patterson books always call me so that might be the next read. Who knows at this point - even if I knew it would change tomorrow. I will just have to wait and see what I locate for my book clubs after the read-a-thon and make a decision!!!
