"Wonder Spot" by Melissa Bank

This story follows a girl from age 12 to her mid thirties as she tries to find her way in life. She is the black sheep of her family, and has trouble finding a career that fits her. She also struggles trying to find love. The 'story' is actually about 7 shorts stories, or glimpses of her life.

I really cared about the main character, but I was left wanting more. I felt like there was so much of her story that I missed out on, so much that wasn't explained. I enjoyed the pieces that were there, some of the parts really made me laugh out loud! It was delightful to read, and I liked the other family members too. I guess the bottom line is, that it was a good book, for a series of short stories, but overall, there was no real plot.

I sometimes feel cheated if a book leaves you wanting more. But it sounds like you still enjoyed this one.
