I am usually all about color on my LOs. Blues, yellows, mixes, and ESPECIALLY green as Karen was frequently reminded during our CKC weekend by my green sweater, green bags, green journalling spots I just HAD to have, and excited exclamations & squeals over the green parts of any of our class kits.

However, I picked up parts of this line http://www.basicgrey.com/scrapbook/shop/collections/show/current/basics-1 while shopping the vendor faire. Not the whole kit, but a few pages of white with the red or black polka dots or tiny squares. And a package of tiny white alphas and one of the writers blocks on this page http://www.basicgrey.com/scrapbook/shop/collections/show/current/basics-1/page:4

It just caught my eye and I HAD to have some. The understated lines with just enough contrast... Yummy. It would look very clean with a black & white or sepia photo, or really make a color photo POP.

So I challenge you to create something with a basic colors, cream/tan or white and understated black & red accents.

Post your work in the show us your work folder so we can all see how you were inspired. Then, if it isn't too much trouble, post on this thread afterward with a link to your post?

Have fun!

You don't HAVE to use the red, or do the challenge if it doesn't work for you.

You could have just a little red on a few embellishments, a few lines on lined paper as a journalling spot, a little bit of polka dot paper. A few small stamped red flowers - tiny ones. Journalling in a fine red pen.

Or just use cream/tan & black, or white and black, or cream/tan, white and black.

Oh NO I have MUST do the challenge! LOL

I am done with my CM books and moving on to top loading books which totally is changing my scrappy style all together. Well not totally but no more white backgrounds as a general rule. of the 600 pages I have done for each kid, 95% have all been white backgrounds. With just color accents
