Here are the basics of this challenge: Every month (that I remember to), I will post a sketch and an ad inspiration. The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to create one or more scrapbook layouts using one or both inspirations. You can follow the inspiration religiously or give it your own creative spin. I just want to encourage you (and me!) to get some pages done. You don't have to sign up for the challenge or anything, just do it! This is not a contest and there is no prize for winning. We all win by completing a layout or two or more!
Once you have created your layout, post it on the board! It helps if you put sketch or ad inspiration in your title in the "Show Us Your Work" section. Then we can all admire your work. Post a link to this thread as well.
I asked in chat last night what kind of sketch people wanted to see and got the following guidelines:
* more than 1 photo
* less than 5 photos
* sketch should include photo sizes.
So what I came up with was the first sketch on this page from PageMaps:
Three photos, with sizes. And some trim pieces I can use my Threading water punch for...
The ad inspiration is this shoe ad (attached) that I got in the mail. There are actually 6 pages of this, so if you want to see another page, let me know and I'll scan one. The thing that intrigued me was the line of pebbles swooping across the page and the fact that some were a little bigger than others. You can be inspired in any way, though. If you want a color combo, another page had green pebbles (like the green in the lettering).
Let's see how these inspire you!
