Whats up in your world?
Stacy, glad the new crew followed through on their contract to clean up the lot for you!
This is going to be a crazy week for me:
* work, of course.* Sarah has volleyball camp every day from 10:30-12:30 at the high school.* Emilee has cross country camp every day from 4:30-5:30 at the high school.* Sometime today, need to get Sarah to LensCrafters to have her glasses adjusted.* There is a parent meeting for cross country tonight at 5:30.* Tomorrow is "final registration." School pictures, fees, get schedules, etc.* Piano lesson for Sarah at 4:00? Waiting to hear back on that one.* Sarah has an ortho appt Wed at 3:45.* DH wants to take his vehicle in on Thursday to have some work done on it.* I should be getting outgrown uniforms up to the high school for a sale tomorrow!* I need to go to Sam's sometime* Whatever I have forgotten...
Sooooo, I am working from home this morning. Will probably run Sarah to lenscrafters after vb and then take her home and go in to the office. DH is taking Em to cross country. I am picking up, so I suppose that means I will do the parent meeting. Hmm, better plan to have Sarah cook supper.
Hi Jill, Hi Stacy!
Missy, have a safe flight!
*Home, have been doing mega cleaning this morning.
*Had Natasha & her friend to the school for band camp before 9 -pick up at 3.
*Stopped by the elementary to talk to the principal about the pile of materials up against the school... build didn't happen because of the much needed downpour Saturday morning.
*headed in to work & a staff meeting - lots to accomplish this week
*conference call this afternoon about the panel I'll be on this fall
*need to pick up paint & supplies for the girls room as the sale ends today.
*Registration at middle & high school here is tomorrow and Wednesday, and I need to get the medical forms dropped off and signed today.
*Sarah's schedule will be up sometime today, I have a feeling we'll have to fight to get her in French at Central instead of Spanish at the middle school.
*going to stick to simple for today and I think go through DH's dresser and closet and put the rest of the house in order between catching up on work at home this afternoon.
Nah, not really taht bad Stacy - glad your work got done this time! hooray for that!
So I feel better about the panel/talk after the conference call. They liked all my ideas for my portion (well, it is somethin I am familiar with and passionate about, so I guess that helps, eh?), so will be spending more time fleshing that out and doing a bit more research in the near future.
Just printed Sarah's schedule, and she has:
1st Advanced Language Arts
2nd Global Studies (history)
5th Band/PE on alternating days
7th divided up all year starting with several months of communications, 5 weeks of Art, a few months of computers and 5 weeks of Family Consumer Science. That's nice, they used to alternate days on those too.
I don't remember when 6th graders have lunch - between 3rd & 4th, I think? (so their 4th class is actually 5th period, while 7th & 8th graders are in their classes...)
No Frence offered at Central, only at the high schools (that has changed). At Central only Chinese, Japanese, German and Italian. So she wants to learn Japanese but those are all high school level credits... and would mess up her schedule. Would be easier if she didn't have Band (because of the travel time to Central, but she isn't about to give up Band) and with only 1 or maybe 2 6th grade classes of 8th grade math..., well, we'll ask tomorrow, but I have a feeling she'll be sticking with Spanish so she doesn't have to give up lunch (if that is even an option but I wouldn;t like it'
