Early Morning Monday

coming up here. Will you, did you get to sleep in? Not me. See below :smileyhappy:

Didn't get any scrappy planning done, but I did find the missing sketches for several LO's that I have photos for/haven't scrapped yet.

Spent the late morning/afternoon at SIL 2's - good afternoon. Grocery store, helping Mira with violin practice. We went to Snookies for ice cream - the "last night". The retired teachers who opened it 26 years ago have been trying to sell it for two years - opened 'one more year' this year, tonight they closed for the season. Their DD is going to manage it next year, but we had to go to their closing. They remember how we used to walk over with Natasha in the stroller.... http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/dmr/index.php/2012/04/14/snookies-owners-greet-last-flock-of-opening-day-early-birds/

SIL & BIL are staying the night as they have an early flight, their alarm clocks will be going off at 4 a.m. :smileyhappy:. I'm a little worried as they just got up and asked for a baby aspirin, though that is nothing new for BIL and he is still active, coaching HS cross country etc., but folks are getting older (he is 72) and they have had a rough year.

My day? Beautiful. NO Monday night meeting, in fact, NO evening meetings at all! Work in the morning, the yard work I didn't do today (unless it rains as forecast), work on ONE of my reports, plan TWO LO's (let's be realistic!), pick up girl 1, girl 3, violin lesson, possibly pick up girl 2. Her first Volleyball game is RIGHT when I need to pick Mira up and go to violin, but I can potentially go cheer for the 8th graders if carpool hasn't carried her off yet. Most upcoming Mondays will be a repeat of volleyball/violin conflict.

I am thinking Natasha & I will go bowling tomorrow night after dinner. Need to get her playing a couple nights a week. Then Maybe plan ONE more LO?

Then study for 2 tests.

Awwww ... loved the story about Snookies. :smileyhappy: Too sweet. We have a similar little food place in our little town. It's more than ice cream. Kids love it! Open April through October, I think. But no overnights waiting for opening day to my knowledge. LOL

Hoping your BIL is O.K. and that they have a safe flight.

Sounds like a nice day! Enjoy~

Michelle, sounds like a good day to me!  I hear you on conflicting schedules though.

Stacy, all-in-all, your day doesn't sound all that bad to me either, with the possible exception of studying for the two tests.  I hope you find that you already know the material backwards and forwards and can get a good night's sleep tonight, with no interruptions.

Julie, if you figure out how the house gets messy so fast AND a solution, let me know.  Good luck with your list, it sounds doable to me.

Me:  Working until 4:30.  Em has cross coutry right after school, then a team dinner at school at 5:30.  Sarah will come home in the carpool.  After work, home for an early supper.  Sarah has a volleyball game tonight at 6:00.  She has to be there 20 minutes early.  The plan is to drop her off, go pick Em up from the team dinner, and go back to see the game.  When the game is over, we are home for the night.

I'd like to get papers picked out for two layouts.  More would be better, but I'll be happy with 2.  Also need to take charge of the laundry.  Bunches got washed this weekend, but very little folded and nothing put away.  Bwahaha, I'd like to get at least the underwear and socks done.  So that I don't have to hunt in the morning!

Might try to prep some for tomorrow's supper too, veggie soup.

Yeah, I think that's enough for one day.  Hope everyone has a good one!

I finished 6 layouts--4 double page and 2 single page.  At that point I was done with all of the layouts that I had paper picked out for and about an hour before I needed to pack up, so I decided to concentrate on picking out papers rather than try to scrap one more.   LOL, the first two layouts that I looked at for picking out papers, I needed a paper that I didn't have and Archiver's didn't have either.  So I am not sure that I would have accomplished anything more anyway.  I did get all of the papers picked out for a third layout.

I stopped at Michaels last night and picked up three papers for the other two layouts.  Mostly I want to try to use up paper that I have at this point, but I didn't have anything that would have worked in the color that I needed.  I'm hoping that Michaels will have their $.99 on sale soon or a % off entire purchase that I can use to pick up anything else I need.

I have 10 LOs left to do in the album, plus some bits here and there to finish up.

Good morning!

No school today. Kids are at their dads. Hope they get to do something fun! I'm at work - actually not TOO busy today, which is nice. At lunch I have to run all the way across town to Rosie's old school and then her new school to finish up all the paperwork so she can start tomorrow. I'm SO excited for her! :smileyvery-happy:

Tonight, not much planned. I MUST get on that treadmill that I have been avoiding since Friday. :smileytongue: Hit 65 pounds lost this morning ... gotta keep the momentum going!

B & Sil got off ok. Poor people - after we went to bed we heard him waking her up saying that her insulin pump alarm had beeped several times. We heard the first 4 a.m. alarm  - both DH & I were both sleeping light I think to make sure they got off in time and were ok. Then the second one went off. Then it went off again and heard them quietly rushing trying to turn it off as they had never used that phone alarm before. Then as they were carrying things out they set off the alarm on their rental car! DH & I were just lying there laughing uncontrollably as they drove away because they were trying to be so quiet and it just wasn't working! Girls were on the same floor though and were surprised to see them gone already at 5:30.

I'm sure they are both fine. They always have been very careful about their health but it just makes you step back and realize that hey, they aren't in their 40's like when I first met them. And these two keep going as if they were. They are both "retired", but plan to officially step back from coaching and running a diabetes camp 3 years from now!

Julie, Karen, and Stacy, I hope your day goes smoothly! Stacy, I hope you can squeeze a catnap in there somewhere!
