Had to hit post and run because there was a loud banging noise - like a deer hitting the glass - but sounded more metal-y. No, that can't be right. More like the oven door being opened and dropped repeatedly? But it's just Mira & I at home now - did the cats get into something?
The cats discovered the foot pedal to the antique bass drum a church member just gave to Sarah, so it is still in the sun room where they can access it! LOL, they were running over it and making the drum bang once each time!
Karen - that is wonderful about both your girls! Congratulations to both of them!
Headed in to work shortly after I take Mira to school, lots going on. Hoping to have time at home this afternoon to pay a few bills, grab snacks, make a cooler of lemonade to take to Garden club, & set up early. This is the only Thursday of Garden club that Sarah doesn't have volleyball - so she'll be out early enough to try walking to the elementary school and I can still come pick her up if she needs. I'll probably end up arranging a ride for her anyway but she needs to know she can do it.
I see Jill is at the beach, so no chat for her tonight. Since Garden club is right after school, I'll have no problem being there on time.
Have a good day at school Stacy!
I will be working from home today. Last night when I went back in to work, 3 warning lights came on in my van, all related to the brakes (to be fair, two of them always come on together according to the manual). So this morning I am taking the van in to have the brakes looked at after I drop the girls at school. Then I will walk home and work from home.
Emilee has her first cross country meet today. After the meet, she is going with a team mate to our first football game of the season, which is in Lincoln. Won't see her until late tonight.
Sarah will come home in the carpool. Hopefully I will be able to get my vehicle back by then, or I will have to scramble to figure out how to get her to volleyball practice at 5:00. DH has a haircut at 4:30, so he cannot do it. We will have supper after volleyball.
So .... let's see ...
MUCH needed chiro appt. this morning
then home to find pictures for the ppt for Sunday
and start sermon exegesis
and back into new exercise routine .... (BACK into a NEW exercise routine ... hmmmm ... does that make sense?) BACK into exercise because between the bronchitis and my shoulder I haven't exercised with any regularity since spring. NEW because I'm going to try a new approach, so I can get more in in a day to help stabilize the blood sugar. Everyone should write this down because giving up my Diet Pepsi and exercising are two of my least favorite things in the world. But if I can make a habit of both, real transformation is possiible, and the world just might end. Just so you know. Forewarned is forearmed.
Log my time for yesterday on my time sheets.
I think that's plenty for one day.
Have a good one~
LOL Geo - I'm just glad it wasn't a hurt deer crashing into something!Kale Chips. Wash, Dry well. Trim the ribs & stems out and cut the rest into large pieces.Toss with a drizzle of olive oil - be sparing - a little goes a long way - and sea salt. (kosher salt will work, sea salt better, do not use table salt). Spread on a baking sheet (lined with parchment, or not). Sprinkle with vinegar if desired - but not necessary. Bake at 250 for 20 minutes, then flip over and bake an additional 5. This step is important if there is any overlap on the baking sheet. crunchy Kale is good. bits of chewy kale in between crunchy - not so much.
Put in a glass bowl/sealed glass container when cool, and enjoy. Vitamin A, C, and calcium. Crunchy, salty, low calorie. Fiber!
