What exciting things do you have planned this weekend?
Sounds like a good weekend Becca!
I am going scrapping today. I picked out papers last night for 8 LOs so that should be plenty. Everything is packed, ready to go. I just need to get dressed and leave. I need to stop and get gas on the way though.
It is raining right now. A nice, gentle, soaking type rain. I hope it lets up so that I can get in to the store with all my stuff, but other than that, it can rain all day. Maybe I will be able to park closer with the rain?
Well, I need to go get ready. Everyone have a great day!
Enjoy your friend Becca - AND your weed-free yard later today! I don't think I ever said anything about your possible move, but how exciting, and I hope everything works out the way it is supposed to - I know you have done so much work on your house and seem to have made so many connections in yoru town and neighborhood that leaving would be hard. Is P excited about working for the same company?
Karen, we need that rain here! Yay!
Except I also wanted/need to weed, and DH is playing in a golf tournament with friends starting at noon.
We have NO plans this weekend. I enjoyed my night out last night - dinner & conversation was great, and Hope Springs was a good movie, FUNNY, touching, a little uncomfortable in places, but good.
I do need to figure out how to get rid of the 5 pallets with rusty nails from the compost we used to the school raised beds - hoping I can guilt my grant contact into taking them back or one of the pallet doctor companies into takingthem for free. Otherwise we'll be breaking them up and paying the city to haul them away. Right now they are in my SILs van and she returns on Tuesday... we also want to use the van to transport the huge compost bin for the school this weekend.
I need to start practicing piano again as lessons start up in a few weeks and I have only payed a few times this summer!
I need to finish putting the girls bookshelves back together, stuffed animals on the uppers shelves (I have all the glasses full of shells from our trips up already), and figure out where to hang the bulletin board. I wanted it on the closet door but it is too wide. Darn.
Sarah needs yarn mallets and a stick case for band, I want to look for a new (inexpensive) rug for their room as the pink braid pottery barn rug just looks horrible with the new paint! Well, the blue/green Pottery barn rug that used to be in the nursery that is in the sunroom would sorta work, but I like it in the sunroom. the girls will enjoy those trips.
And I think I will spend some time FINALLY uploading the girls vacation photos and ordering those with them.
Natasha is babysitting tonight.
Nice and easy.
It is beautiful out, but going to be muddy AND muggy after yesterdays rain, and supposed to rain more later. I picked a few vegetables and melons at church to put out, and my gym shoes were so caked I just left them next to the Jeep when I changed into my good shoes!
Lots of things to choose from today: Working in the yard, reorganizing/purging the pantry, editing photos, scrapping, sorting a pile or two of papers, working with the girls photos, tackling the playroom area again (it is full of stuff we sorted out of the girls room. Some needs to GO, some needs to be kept) ...
The two thing I WILL do are: make a sign-up sheet/reminder for Fall afterschool Garden Club, and finish cleaning/consolidating the top of Sarah's dresser. She has several old valentines mailboxes and other containers stuffed with... stuff. Old notes, bits of paper, rocks, etc. Most of it will be tossed I am sure but there are a few gems in there. Literally - well, not GEMS but I did find 1.5 pairs of earrings in one box of random pencils/lipgloss & paper!
Where do I store the scross stitched nursery rhyme images (that I made) that used to hang in the girls rooms? They have been there for 15 years, but still sad to see them come down.
