It's to do with the fact that they separated Marching Band from Concert band. If you are in Marching band you have to be in Concert band, but you can be in Concert Band without being in Concert Band... Used to be Marching Band took up the first 2 months of school, then Marching band was OVER and they started in with Concert Band as everyone was in both. Pep band was voluntary unless you were in Jazz band.
SO, Marching band is now it's own class that runs the entire semester and they need something to keep them busy and earning grades! So we now have a 50 person pep band, and a 50 person indoor Marching Band. Crazy, huh?
Funny thing is every student is required to have 1 semester of PE per year (well, 4 during all of high school), so next semester during 5th block (first period on B days) when there is no Marching Band is what they are referring to as Marching band PE - because that's when PE fit in most of those students schedules.
REEEEAAAALLY?! Huh. How cool is that? Well, then, I got that all messed up, didn't I? Our Marching Band NEVER played inside. Ever. Period. And our pep band never played OUTside. But that has been ...msboeingthirtymoibnhen ... years ago. Things may have changed in that time. ;)
You are SUCH a goof Julie!
LOL, the Marching Band will be playing inside at the same basketball games, just at halftime. and not meeting every morning, but still, even twice a week at that time for a whole semester is a lot highschooler (and their parents!)
O.K. 1. Got in through Chrome. (IE just WOULD NOT work, but no complaints, just a nice, I'm-so-sorry-to-bother-you email to the CMs.) 2. yep 3. really? How cool is that? 4. BOO! But we have Facebook. So all is not lost. 5. I won't. If it brings folks back to WoW because of the faster load, I will be forever grateful. <3
A big DITTO to #5- that's what we're hoping. But for the life of me, I can't figure out what WoW stands for!
THANK YOU all for being so patient as our tech team feverishly works out the bugs!
LOL, everything else I looked at so long ago I don't remember what anyone else said.
So here I am at home for a very little while before Sarah's volleyball game. I paid bills during piano. Only one left to finish, though I do need to get stamps and return address labels on them. Should do that so that we can mail on the way to/from the game.
So ... I ended up working at home yesterday. Sunday's sermon just took it OUT of me, and I was exhausted. So when my dad called and said he could fix the hitch in the get up with the dryer yesterday, I said, "Oh, DARN, and I called in scared ... afraid I wasn't gonna make it." ;) He didn't fix it, but he figured out what the problem was. I think it will be resolved by the end of the week.
I worked five hours at home yesterday and got worship done for Sunday night. That alone took 2.5 hours because I wanted a you tube video of Point of Grace, and I had to unintstall and download Freecorder. anyway ... got that done and worked on my report to the presbytery for my recommissioning and my report for the Session this month.
Today, I got going early and worked on YQ stuff and social media updates and had a meeting with the Head of Staff to review my report to Presbytery. That took about twenty minutes, and then the next hour and 25 minutes was impromptu staff meeting A.
then balcony time. And now that that is done, I'm headed back to the office for more work, and then .... THEN ... I'm going to see Les Miserable tonight at the Fox with a friend ... for FREE. :) Tomorrow is another VERY long, busy day. Will probably catch up on Thursday.
oh, my GOODNESS, that is adorable!
Missy!

I love everything about that ... the bright blue Katie Perry hair, the wonderful colors, the ADORABLE dress .... you are such an awesome mom!!!!!
