I got to see smiley first thing this morning! that was super wonderful!
I finally had the ahha moment last night for my business law paper. Did ok on my test, got a B now that I know what his tests are like hopefully it will go better.
Today work. Lunch errands: gotta stop at the church and drop off forms for girl scout events and a check. then to the middle school to do some paperwork. need to grab boards from my house if I have enough time and take them to divas. I should probably eat as well.
My better food plan has been going pretty well. lost another pound. So if I can keep it up things will improve. Also still need to figure out how to get in my 2 hours of daily walking.
OMG so yesterday I checked my bank account and the place my GF and I ate last friday debited my account for 213.13 instead of 23 like it should have been! like really WTH? so I have to deal with that this morning! I left a good tip they didn't need to take an extra 190.13!
Tonight homework and really need to do some housework, but scrappy planning may overrule! LOL. Thats about all.
I think the thing I am most excited about today is Storymatic. I bought it on Amazon.com this week to see if I could use it for work in a variety of ways, and I think it was a good move. I don't have much left in professional expenses, but this was well worth the investment. http://www.amazon.com/The-Storymatic/dp/B004PICKDS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347452067&sr=8-1&keywords=storymatic Here is what I drew to test it out: an aging clown, a person who needs a job (so the main character is an aging clown who needs a job), a rest area, a wrong number (so the the rest area and the wrong number are the things that add a twist to the story). Once you get things rolling with that, you can continue to draw cards from the character cards and/or the conflict cards to add to the story. I LOVE IT!
Otherwise, I have a tremendously busy day. It is likely with the things that got added to my schedule at staff meeting that have to be done TODAY will mean things that were already scheduled for today will have to be bumped to Saturday, unless the time I've allowed to do things ends up being generous, and I can get more done than I anticipate today. If that happens, I'll stay close to good time this week. If not, I'll end up working a good bit over. I'll be SOOOO happy to get these policies done and in place!
so ...

So ... yeah. Nuts. But, if I can get through that, I can have tomorrow and Friday off, and I am SO ready. Play day is coming!
Alright ... your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to tell a story for our entertainment or to scrap a page that includes an aging clown that needs a job, a rest area, and/or a wrong number.
My mind is blank. I have completely forgotten what I just read. Guess I will go back and look after I post.
Sarah starts back up with confirmation tonight. I was thinking about that the other day. Michelle was talking about their 3 years of confirmation, Julie mentioned their's is weeks (maybe as long as months?), I started in 4th grade and was confirmed in the fall of 9th, my girls have 2 years; it is just interesting to me how different it is, even within the same larger church body. But I digress.
I'll be working until about 4:30 today, then pick up Emilee after cross country practice. Home for a bit. Take Sarah to confirmation and come in to the office. I have a dab of time to make up for both Monday and Tuesday and will have a dab for today as well by the time I leave to pick up Emilee. Unless I do a short lunch. After I pick Sarah up, home to hopefully pick papers for a couple more layouts. Or paint my nails. Last night I did not do any planning, but I did find and pack a couple heart punches, my corner rounder, my sew easy tool, and some floss.
Stacy, now you have me all excited for scrapping in October. And I am confusing myself since I am scrapping this weekend. I keep thinking I am going to Des Moines this weekend instead of staying here in Omaha. Like at one point this morning I was thinking I could sleep in a little on Saturday, then I thought, NO, I have to head out to Des Moines. No wait, I am not going to Des Moines this weekend. Missy, you really should come. Can you get a direct flight to Des Moines? Omaha? Chicago? Stacy or I could pick you up on our way if you can't go cheap & direct to Des Moines. Becca? Jill? You want to come too? You *know* we'll have fun. Julie, don't feel left out, you know we would love to have you too, I just figure that's a lost cause.
i totally understand, but you're right. It's out. My weekend doesn't match with your weekend. I have time off, but I've scheduled it around my dad's company retirement party in November, so I can't move it, and with it being World Communion Sunday the first weekend in October, that would be unlikely anyway. But I'll be there in spirit and maybe by Skpye some???? {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
Good morning. My entertaining story is that Julie gets everything finished in 30 minutes, and goes for a long walk in the woods, with her favorite music playing, the takes a week off to come here to hang out and scrap. I hope your day goes smoothly so there is no Saturday work!
Karen and Stacy, have good days. Karen, keep your head on straight!
I have a bit of a pressure headache, crazy weather! I need to go in to work today to print & assmeble as we have Staff retreat tomorrow.
Today is early outs: I am picking up Sarah and a friend to bring here, Tasha has a meeting after school and plans to walk home, and Mira is going home with a friend. Meet at one house just before 4 to exchange kids, drop sarah off for her voice lesson (IF - we set it up for 4, and last night she sent an e-mail to DH with her scheduled at 4:30. Um... the choir she is in this year practices at 4:30 - we discussed this?) Mira needs to be there at 4:30 for her choir, then there is a recption at the Art Center from 5-6 - Sarah has a self portrait in the student gallery there and we get to pick it up. Then back for Kids hour at 6, confirmation parents meeting 6:30-7:30. Teen hangout, not sure when Natasha will want to be there, but I need her there when Mira is done at 7.
Early out for my kiddos, too! I'm picking up Rosie at the bus at 2:00 and taking them to do.... something? I have no idea what? LOL. We were supposed to go meet a friend at Sea World, but their kids are sick and they're taking the day off. Maybe we'll just go anyway???

Stacy, I vote for scrappy planning. Housework can wait. Good luck with the bank and all your other tasks today.
OH will you be bringing your hawaii album for us to view??? pretty please?
