Happy Halloween Lisa! How goes the site fixes?

I see the posts from Melissa, but as you can see we are hanging out elsewhere where we can have actual conversations.

We're a small group who have become close, and all are/were frustrated with the problems. I know iv is working on them, but for busy people who like to post and run, trying for a week to figure out if things are working is too much time.

Another issue is that allthough we would like to add more people. That's you, lurkers! We see the number of post views - or at least we used to - and we know you are there - why don't you want to participate? We don't bite! We seem to be quite stable in active members, all who have been around for years.Even with the lurkers there aren't hundres of looks at heach post - so there isn;t a HUGE number, but they are out there.

Going along with that is the fact that our board is literally buried. To even GET to the new board we had to search - go to the Pregnancy and Parenting Boards, then choose the list of boards, then scroll down to Coffee Time, THEN select our board to get here. The search didn't work, as it used to take us to articles about scrapbooking. This is the way it is now, and has been ever since the last switch occured. One - that does not allow for community building, and does not make us seem important to ivillage. We understand that there are umpteen scrapbook boards out there, nearly every kit club has one these days, but in light of that and the fact that other 'pure scrapbook boards' without stores have fallen by the wayside, you could have been promoting this board or making it easy for people to find. Now, WE like this board because it is not drama filled, no one is selling to us, we can post our pages and projects without negativity or feeling like we have to purchase something to belong and it is easy to stay together without having to search for posts among hundreds daily - especially for those who don't post daily. But the lack of response when we first asked was frustrating, and I know Melissa has asked many more times than I have over the years. I know *I* gave up because it was obviously not a priority to anyone but us and the board worked for us then. At the moment, it doesn't work.

Now that our board is not growing and has been stable for so many years, I'm not sure you will be able to lure the rest of our board back here even when all the bugs are worked out. I don't know that for certain as we have a lot of content here, but considering we have essentially been forced to post elsewhere to have any semblence of conversation, and have found a secure, free place to do so where we can post our projects where we can also chat, and since growing our membership does not seem to be likely or a priority to iv...

We'll keep checking here to see what progress is made, but you may want to present our concerns to whoever may be able to suggest a better solution on how to make this board more accesible to ivillage visitors, or to find out if we are a priority at all. I came here from a pp pregnancy board. I stayed because it fit in my interests when I moved from that board (also mostly abandoned in a transition - they went elsewhere, I stayed). I met wonderful people who have come from a variety of boards, and people from all walks of life scrapbook, and probaly wouldn't even think about looking in the pregnancy and parenting boards for such a thing. certainly not grandparents, the single or childless travellers who like to document their trips, or the new college grads or new married just looking to document their life.

Ok, so I logged in, and then it said I was not authorized to reply. Then I got another screen with Michelle's post and I was able to hit reply. I am also getting a lot of pop up ads too. I'd rather see an ad on the side then constantly being bombarded by either something from Ivillage or another product.
