Question about Heat Embossing and Static

A while ago I got a little anti-static pillow thingy from A's to help my embossing powder from blowing everywhere and the static issue. Anyway, I misplaced it and decided to try using a dryer sheet. I am not sure if it made the issue worse or if it's the type of embossing powder. I am using silver
I think the anti-static pillow (or dryer sheet) is to keep things from sticking *where you don't want it too.*
I hate the dusty feeling of that little pillow, but I use it, otherwise the powder sometimes sticks and then melts where I don't want it.
I am wondering now if the ink pads I've been using are just dried up a bit. The silver one is from Chalkbox, and the blue one I was using is HL's brand. I've been moving away from HL's brand of inks b/c I find them terrible for clear stamps and I believe some of my inks got damaged when I had them sitting in a hot car at one point. I tried a cushion on the table and that didn't really help-just make the problem worse.
These stamps are crazy to work with too. Here is what stamps I am trying to use.

Believe it or not but I found the static pillow thing! I found another stamp too! :)
