CKC Sketches 7, 8 & 9

Sketch 7 was sponsored by Heartstring Designs
and according to the directions I photographed it upside down! Very sweet and cheery LO.

We received sticky canvas squares on which to attache flowers we were to have made from strips of fabric (yellow, green & pink to match the paper). My first flower kept falling apart so I gave up - Karen made a nice one. There were also buttons, a sheet of numerous PP cardstock tags we could add (they had 3 layered) and 4 yellow petals to add. I left the side unstuck so I can add photos.

Sketch 8 & 8.2 were Fancy Pants Paper & sponsored by Embellish-it. I bought the 2nd page for this one (well, I bought enough stuff in the booth that I got it for free - ha!) Still have more pieces of sticky backed matching chipboard. May have a few extra left after the 2nd page...

Sketch 9 was by Strictly Scrapbooking and GCD Studios.

I didn't quite follow the sketch on this one - the scalloped top piece was supposed to be on the bottom unlayered, while the layer underneath it was supposed to be up there at the top, with just a tiny bit of the scalloped piece along the bottom peeking out. While I liked the LO, I really liked the scalloped piece so I choose to highlight it instead. The designs are shiny embossed - lovely! The photo matts are supposed to be verticle but this just felt like horizontal to me laugh! Go figure. The backside of the black matts are striped like the torn flower - cool either way. But you know me - a gardener, had to use the floral side even though it will be covered with photos! Oh, and we were given a button for the middle of the flower, but mine was brown, so I used a brad from another kit for the time being.

Awesome! My favorite of these is that Fancy Pants paper!

Hmmm, I may have to post my flowers even though I don't think I will use them on the layout. They are too thick/bulky for my taste. But they turned out pretty.
