Getting retreat pagess in NOT gonna happen for me till I return, but. I can share these.(I am only awake because my sinuses are majorly disturbed after spending time in the girls room packing. They stirred up a lot of dust when 'cleaning' last weekend... anyway, the journals:

We looked and looked, not alot out there at the moment that wasn't HUMONGOUS, and we need something smallish for a long trip, yet with enough space for a 14 year old to write & draw, and a 6 year old to write larger words.... Finally found these dat Target - a set of 3 recycled books, one with blank pages, one with lined, and one with graph paper. They

These are GREAT! :) Looks like the girls had fun getting ready! :) I love that Sarah "dinged" as she finished each part! LOL Too cute! Can't wait to hear/see how the journals are completed as you go! :)

I love these!!! I wish my boys liked to do stuff like this. I bet they have fun filling them out too.

They do, for awhile. Natasha filled hers out more, but the other two slacked off a bit as they worked on their various Junior Ranger booklets at the parks. That's ok. I did prompt them to add things, but they were sometimes tired or just finished (having earned their badges). Over the years I have learned not to push, LOL. They had fun making them in anticipation and writing a few things, and those they WILL remember so it is good. On the days they did add things, Mira mostly wrote one or two sentences - her favorite things, and drew a picture. Like the day a fox sat outside out campsite, watching us eat breakfast. She will remember that, so I am happy :)
