This is the card that I made for Missy. I used the Heidi Swapp Invisibles paper that I bought at Michaels a week or so ago--this is the technique paper that I told you about. I used two colors of distress ink and the Tim Holtz blender tool thingie to add some color to that, then lightly brushed some Perfect Pearls on top and spritzed with a mini mister to set. I've included a picture of the raw paper and the colored paper (I only colored a 6 x 6 square) so you can get a feel for what it looks like.
The bird cage and bird were a make and take from Archivers the weekend before her birthday. This is one of the new TH dies and they had a some distress ink and a TH texture rubber stamp that you could try. You can see what I brought home from there in the photo with the raw invisibles paper. I dabbed on some more distress ink to the cage and then added a couple layers of UTEE until I got a nice, glossy, raised finish. Oh, I added some perfect pearls to the little birdie too. The flower at the top of the cage and the flower/lace border at the bottom are Prima. The tag I picked up in the card department at Walmart several years ago. You were supposed to hang them on a gift bag or something.
Quote is from Maya Angelou. “A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.”
