big font, little font challenge

We've done this challenge before but not for a really long time. If you did it last time, make a new one this time - no dusting off the old sigs! :P

Today's font challenge is to use a big font behind and a little font in front to make something like this.

Tell us the names of the fonts you used so that we can find them for ourselves if we like them. I used Impact for the big font behind and CK Love Note for the one in front.

You might need to stretch the width of your little font to make it look good on top of the big font. I had to make mine 120% to make it look right to me. In PS, that's done in the the PS character palette. I would think - and hope - that PSP and Gimp have similar capabilities.

Oooh, I like it, Janet. I would never have thought of using anything for the back font that wasn't a big, fat, plain font. What a great idea! :)

thanks Anne! I tried the big plain fat fonts but they just weren't doing it for me - so I decided a little flair (but not much) in the back was worth a shot. I really like how it turned out.

Ooooh, they both look fabulous! :)

FFF Tusj is one of my favouritest fonts - of course it's a word! LOL - and I'd never have thought to use it as a back font on one of these sigs. I can see me stealing borrowing that idea sometime! :D

Thanks so much, Anne! I love that font too but hardly ever get to use it! And i had to make sure to put the ivillage gray on the background while making because it's super hard for my awful eyes to see on the transparent ps grid :)

Oh, and borrow away!

I check every sig I make on the grey background to make sure things show up - some colours blend in too well on the grey in my humble opinion. I've even been started checking what they look like on the yellow background that's used for the first unread post in the thread - #FFFCCC is the code for that colour.

It would be sooooooo much easier if they'd just make the whole thing white again then we wouldn't have to do the transparent stuff at all. *sigh*

Thanks for the color code for the peachy color--i hadn't messed with that one yet since it's only one post per time, but it's good to see how it looks on that one. Off to add that to my palette :)
