We've asked about the daily numbers on the CL board and one CL said she thought it wasn't counting the quick replies but it was counting the "ordinary" replies.
Another suggestion was that it wasn't counting replies at all - quick or ordinary - but that it was counting new threads. That's clearly not right because, although we blether a lot on here, we don't start 11 new threads a day.
Our tech CM has asked the people who should know what the daily total actually counts - and when the day starts for that count. We're waiting for an answer. I'll let you know what it is when we get it!

Nope. Apart from the fact that the board total isn't right - it was 162270 in February - it (the board total) seems to be fairly accurate in counting the number of posts.
The daily number is just stupid and make *no sense whatsoever*. It's NOT the daily count of posts and it's NOT the daily count of posts started either.
