There's a ton of stuff on that site. Info on Andrew. Info on all the girls. A poll that I posted here, etc.....
I lived and worked in Waltham for about 4 years. I rented a place right off of RT 20, near the Watertown line, by the Ground Round. I really like Waltham then and can not believe all the changes since then, all good. I remember Grover Cronins!!!! That was within walking distance from where I worked on Prospect Street. So many people from my company lived in Waltham too.
Small world. Where are you now?
I grew up near the Wal-Lex!! I live in West Roxbury now, because I couldn't afford a house in Waltham when I was buying.
I used to LOVE Grover Cronin's! Have you seen what's there now? Holy COW! I used to go to that Ground Round all the time. Now it's some other restaurant, I can't remember.
Did you know anyone that grew up there? I graduated high school in 1988 and am 32.
I lived there in the late 80s, I'm 39. I worked with a Rick Landry, I think he would be about 35 now. He came from a big family. Also Peter Falzone, his kids might be your age. I knew a girl in college (Stonehill) who was from Waltham too, Katie Kelley. She married her high school honey, David. Can't remember his name but I guess he was a big baseball star.
When did you leave Waltham? We used to go to Buff's Pub in Newton all the time and Tom's Busy Bee in Watertown. Dive-y bars but great buffalo wings and great people!
The world just gets smaller and smaller!
Cronin's Landing is beautiful, but WOW!! PRICEY! I think a Celtic or two bought in there. And to think it was a discount, but nice department store! And the section of town is so-so. I lived on Brown Street (just about near the Whittemore School - so FAR from Moody Street) just after I got married.
I knew some Landry's, but geez! For the life of me, I can't remember any of their names. There were a few boys, and I think that one of them was my paper boy at one point. Scott Landry, I think?
I graduated with Debbie Falzone, and she had a brother, who, of course, I can't remember his name. He was a year or two older than her.
I don't know Katie Kelley - but my husband graduated in 1985 and his brother graduated in 1983, so either one of them probably knows her. And my brother in law was a huge baseball player too, so they were probably on the same team.
I left Waltham in 1993 when I bought my house (I was 22!!! Can you believe it?!?!). My parents still live there, but not in the house I grew up in. They now live over by Graverson Park, which is on Trapelo Road.
I've never been to Buff's, but I still go "BUZZIN' at THE BEE!" LMAO!! My husband's softball team goes there pretty much after every game. TOO FREAKIN' FUNNY!!
Do you still live in MA?
