Actually I use both pedometer and an activity pedometer chart.

I heard on the radio this morning that people that wear pedometers get an average 2000 extra steps a day than those that don't.

The pedometer was a great way to track how many steps I had taken when I was exercising at the hospital. My mother was in radiology treatment then, and whilst she waited for her turn I walked around the hospital property! It's one of those old sprawling teaching hospitals so walking there was no problem.
