What are your Thanksgiving Day Plans?

  • Staying home and cooking a meal for just my family
  • Having relatives or friends over for dinner
  • Going to relatives or friends for dinner
  • Going out to a restaurant
  • Ordering take-out food
  • No dinner planned, just munchies
  • Volunteering at a shelter/kitchen
  • I have to work that day
  • No plans, I just want to sleep!
  • Other (let us know if there is something I missed)

You will be able to change your vote.

I voted Other. Not because you missed something, more because I don't know what I'll be doing! I asked dd and her dh over, but they might be going to his dad's (which I could understand, since his dad will be gone over Christmas), but her FIL doesn't know if they're doing anything for Thanksgiving. And dd's MIL hasn't chimed in yet with anything she's doing (which, if they want to go there is fine, since I had them here last year). So, if they aren't coming here, I won't bother with a turkey dinner for just dh and me, and we'll probably just go out to eat.

But if dd and her dh can make it here, I'll have the full dinner spread here.

BUT... For all I know, I may have to work that day! (don't know yet if they are even open on T'giving Day.)

I changed my vote, lol. I now know my dd and her dh will be here that afternoon, so I'll make a dinner here. And I do not have to work, because they are not open, but may have to the day after, EEEK!!

I think we have finally decided to stay home and just have dinner as a family.

I voted other because we are doing something totally outside the norm! We have decided to go on a CRUISE for the week of Thanksgiving! The kids have the whole week off, and my DH wanted to go on a "real" vacation (not just days off to accomplish house/yard stuff) so off we go!!!

My Italian in-laws are none-too-pleased, but they'll get over it...eventually.

Hey, this might become a yearly tradition!
