Hi ladies, How is everyone doing? Yesterday my granddaughter and I went Christmas shopping. We had fun. I had worked so much and so much OT that I had not shopped. I got a lot of good deals and my granddaughter spent her $80.00 which was burning a hole in her pocket. lol. We were able to cover the whole mall and select gifts. We went to lunch. When we got home I passed out the late gifts and got lots of hugs from my little grandsons and granddaughter. My daughter was so pleased with the books I got her from Majesty's Bible and gifts. My granddaughter spent her last $5.00 for coffee for me and a soft drink for her. The time spent with her was quality time and I am glad we went. My dh took the 7 yr old granddaughter out for shopping

sounds like you had a great day.

I took dd to the mall Monday afternoon to look for deals and exchange a couple things. Then we went grocery shopping. She wanted no part of sitting in the stroller or cart so I had to carry her or let her walk (aka wander, look at everything in sight), which slowed our trip down considerably! I was glad to be able to spend the time with her though.

We only found one good deal. Victoria Secret had a tote full of $100 worth of goodies for $20! I got it for my cousin for Christmas because our extended family is exchanging gifts on New Year's Day.

My mood today is

We went to Walmart today, I had 2 giftcards from Chris and my mom and Caitlyn had $$ and a giftcard, and Chris & I had a gift card to share...all for Walmart..lol So we went today and looked around. We found the Disney Princess holiday castle, you set it up with your Christmas village, it was $25 and it was on sale for $11...so we got it because we thought Caitlyn would REALLY like it next Christmas when she gets older and couldn't pass that up. They also had all their gift sets on sale 50% off, and we haven't seen my dad yet, so I got him a gift set and the box of chocolates that I was originally getting him I'm wrapping for Chris's sister and her fiance because we didn't know they were getting us stuff and they did, so I wanted to get them something, and I only paid $5 for my dad's gift set, so that was a good deal. Chris & I got a gift set that has crackers, cheese, meat, etc in it for like $1 something, it was originally $5.

They also had a TON of toys on sale...the Little People Barn was $20...orginially $30 and they had the Weebles Treehouse for $20, originially $30....so we got Caitlyn both of those because I've been wanting to get her the barn, but didn't want to spend $30 on it...and the Weebles Treehouse looked pretty cool too and for $20 I thought that was well worth it too.....so I got her both of those, even though she doesn't need anymore toys..lol, then got her things she needed, like diapers, etc.

And I got the Carrie Underwood CD

Dear Kathie, Thankyou for your kind words. They really touched my heart. I know it is hard on my mother who grew up with Aunt Ruth in her life. But the very fact that she was the real lady she was is comforting because she was close to the Lord. The whole visit here was great and yesterday I put my son and daughter-in-law and little Savannah on the plane to go home. They arrived in Philly around 5;45 EST and back to work as usual. It amazes me that all these grandchildren are getting big now and they are being well brought up. My goodness Kathie, we had some weather you would not believe. It poured rain the entire time my family was here and we were on tornado watch for awhile. I went to the bank on New years eve and the power went off and then came back on. Suddenly there was a big wind and the rain was actually going sideways and the bank doors flew open and things started falling over. Everyone was just looking at the wierd scene. The power went off and
