What are they ?
When do you like to eat those certain comfort foods?

Let our *inquiring minds* know as always :)

heck no....my kids do not eat what is put in front of them....I gave up trying to get my kids to eat their veggies...with five kids it is hard to find a compromise, so now I just put out what I have in the fridge if they eat it good, if not they know where the toaster or the cheerios is(are)...I am only one person and I do not have lots of money to buy everything for everybody to eat at the dinner table...also 2 of my boys work part time now so they are not here at supper times anymore so whatever.... I wish I could make some soups for us to eat but my dh is verrrrrry fussy even tho he says he is not, and he wonders why the kids will not eat what I put on the table....I have one very good beef stew and it is easy as pie to make...chop up the vegs and meat (if you want) used tomato juice with S&P and tapioca put in oven for about 3 hrs and it is divine...I can remember my father used to make stews all the time when I was growing up and he used to put in this "stew mix" which I think is disgusting cuz it had dried beans and rice but we had to eat it or go hungry...if you did not eat supper you got nothing else til breakfast .... wow suzan...sorry to say this but they are too fussy!

I raised 4 boys and had a step daughter and son some days too. I cooked lots and worked sometimes one or two job and cleaned houses for extra money. The kids ate what i made! They loved to fish too amd loved to have me cook it. i tought many a kid in the neighbourhoods to fillet fish too. We often had extra kids at the table...so a lot of food went a long way.

Greg hated corn flakes and wouldnt eat breakfast for a long time....well soon he learned to like them on days i went to work early. other morning we had porrage. it was cheap and filling. They took sandwiches for lunch and if they were lucky they had cup cakes, a granola bar or something quick to make. i had reusable juice containers if they wanted to take some.

My kids all did chores. when i could afford an allowance they got one. They all got jobs as soon as they could. even if it was only cutting grass or shoveling sidewalks.

Im my mind kids get off way to easy anymore. You cant be a kids friend...you are the parent.

Is there any chance you could get your husband into councelling and make him see he needs to be more help to you and help with the kids. I have been lucky with grant. he is very involved with the kids. does not always help arround the house but is always there for the kids to listen or help out. Thats what fathers are for. What we teach the kids today will go into what they teach thier kids one day.

sorry to go on but it just seam like everyone is walking all over you and you have given up. dont give up. your family need guidance. You need to feel like you are making a differance...like you have great worth

(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))), here if you need to talk
