Hugs......Get your tickets now!  Did you hear Paul McCartney is coming to St Louis?  Nov 11.

I know you like him.  :smileyhappy:

Does anyone here like to go to concerts, is there anyone you would go to see?

I think my concert days are over.  I'm more of a Broadway show girl now.  Loved seeing Phantom of the Opera a few years ago!

My mom used to take me to the Ice Capades in NYC from a young child on. I remember Sonja Henie and Donna Atwood there. Mom & Dad also took us to see Roy Rogers Rodeo at Madison Square Garden and Ringling Brothers Circus in NYC as well as lots of other shows. My first concert of a solo performer was to see Fabian with my parents in NYC. I think I may have been 11 years old. I was hooked and since then have seen hundreds of live theater shows. DH and I both love concerts, music theater, symphony, opera, small community theater plays, dinner theaters and anything else of that sort going on.

Wednesday we're going to our State Fair and will be seeing several stage shows there. Friday we'll be going to a Bluegrass Festival from morning to late evening to see a large amount of concerts on several different stages. On the 19th of this month, we're going to see the live performance of Lion King. The best, though, will be my youngest grandson's choir concert at his school on the 20th! <s> DH and I used to go to a lot more live shows of various genres, but it's so expensive that we've had to cut back on them. Darn it. Next month we're going to Branson, Missouri and will be seeing some live shows there also.

Donna, I just mentioned to Ludam I would love to see The Lion King live!  After all these years it still gets great reviews.

You do go to a lot of concerts!  Will you be seeing the famous violin guy at Branson?  (can't think of his name off hand)

Yes my kids' band, piano, and choral concerts were my favorite too.  :smileyhappy:

I wish I had kept track of all the shows and performers I have seen throughout my lifetime, truly in the hundress I'm sure. My parents loved live stage, too, so it's in my blood! <s> So happy my dh also loves them.

Shoji Tabuchi I believe is who you're referring to? You know, we just might go to one of his shows while there. I've seen him a couple of times, but my dh hasn't. His show is fabulous and one of the uppermost best ones in Branson, We'll decide when we get there.

Yes, that's who I was thinking of.  Whatever you see I'm sure it will be good.

When my daughter was in 4th grade, I took her out of school for the afternoon to see Phantom with my mom,  3rd row seats. We could sing every song and to this day she listens to the soundtrack in her car.

I would go to about EVERYTHING at the IU Auditorium and the Mac (a building where they do opera and other concerts) if I had the money!!!

I don't need to worry about dating myself here, so I'm proud to say my favorite rock concert of all time was Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon in 1977.

I didn't get to go to a lot of rock concerts.  That was one of maybe three I went to.

Woo-hoo Diana, Pink Floyd!

I didn't go to too many rock concerts either.  None that I would call "favorite".

Diana, have you ever looked into ushering for these shows that you'd like to see? I have a few friends who do this and they get to see shows free on the nights that they usher.
