I was raised on meat and potatos. lots of hamberger and roasts. Dad bbqed in summer and cooked on weekends. when i got older i remember dad making some home made soup with the packages...but that was it. when we went to the grandparents it was big meals because it was family events. My first mother in law made the best borscht..hot with sourcram added...yum. other than that like i said it was packages of dried soup or concentrated canned. nothing to want soup
