I'm experiencing baby blues (post partum six months) & PMS so I got online looking for a nice place to just talk to other women and I think I may have found it.

I've been home all week, just playing with my children, enjoying every moment of them and napping when they do. My dh helps me with the houseework each evening & on the weekends.

Oh, I did cook a good dinner every night this week.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes on November 22 so I'm trying to reconcile this to my life. It's very hard and I'm pretty angry about it. I hate to exercise and I love to cook and eat! This diagnosis feels like punishment. I don't have time in my life right now to take this on. I'm dealing with it the best I can and have lots of support from my family.

Good things going on right now are we've started up our "family game nights" again. We usually break out the Scrabble and the Boggle and Yahtzee in the winter and invite my mom over. We have a blast and it's something entertaining for all ages, 13-76!

Good: I found a very pretty top to wear with my black velvet slacks to dh's company Christmas party. It was 1/2 price, plus I get an employee discount, so it only cost me $17! (If I did the math right)

Bad: My ankle AND knee hurt today! For no reason (other than I need to lose weight, maybe)!

Ugly: Me, naked! ROFLOL!

Good: We'll be making Christmas cookies this week, me and my ds.
Bad: We have to wait until he is over the flu and hopefully he peaked this afternoon, there should be a little drier the next day or 2.
Ugly: My living room carpet. It's very difficult to teach a 2 year old how to get sick in a bowl instead of his clothes and the floor. Needless to say, I've 400 pounds of stinky baby clothes to be washed and several damp spots on the carpet to be vacuumed tomorrow.

Thanks for asking, DS has been keeping food down since Thursday morning . My mom suggested a "BRA" Diet for him bananas, rice apples. That's what they used to tell her when we were babies & going at both ends. I got some baby food bananas, apple sauce and rice cereal, duh! it's all baby food and easy to digest. A little flat 7-up and he is not urping anymore. Aren't mom's geniuses?! Does anyone else have a time of trying to get their child to drink flavored pedialyte? I tasted it and it's nasty, so i quit making him try to drink it, if i won't drink it myself, Hey why should he?
My episode was much shorter, just one night, now my stepson has a milder case of it and it seems to have passed dh by completely, he works nights and sleeps days, so I think that saved him.
DH Cleaned the carpets and the whole house Thursday while ds and I rested on the couch. plus made dinner for us. I needed that break, and it was his idea, sweetest man on earth.
