We don't do much for Valentine's Day. I guess we feel we don't need to. We have each other, and love each other, so there's no need to go all out on gifts etc.

We may go out to dinner tonight, though. I don't care where, as long as I don't have to cook.

Well, as you can tell from my screen name, I am a romantic at heart, so yes, Valentines Day is a big one for me. My H isn't as into it as I am, but he does try. lol~

I planned a Valentine's weekend this past weekend for us. H took me out for dinner on Friday and it was a nice start. On Saturday, while H worked, I did the housework, my usual errands, laundry, then picked up something nice for dinner, a couple of steaks and a large bottle of our favorite red wine. My two teenage dd's had plans so I let my older dd do the driving for younger dd and then she kept the car for the night and left us alone. When H came home, I started dinner, steak, salad and baked potato while he showered. After dinner, as we finished our wine, we split a giant chocolate covered strawberry I bought from our local fine chocolatier. Afterwards, well....you know. Then, later, I woke up and watched a romantic movie as my teens made thier way back home about 11 PM.

On Sunday, H had to finish up a job, but we went out for breakfast after some more, ahem, you know, and then I ran errands with my kids and made my H his favorite soup for dinner with some yummy crusty bread. We spent a quiet evening just chillin.

Tonight, we're having steak fajitas with all the fixin's, and some more chocolate covered strawberries. Also, my aspiring pastry chef dd is making us a chocolate creme brulee with fresh raspberries and whipped cream.

So, yeah, I'd say we're pretty big on Valentine's Day celebrations.

ps: I also bought my dd's each some valentine's socks and candles and H will buy them some valentines candies.

Yes, we went out to dinner at a local place we like, and I had coconut shrimp.
