had a couple this last week. allowed myself to just do what i wanted. had chocolate cookies, and just walking i normally do, it was nice but felt a bit guilty.

been getting a lot of exersize with the new puppy. has to be at least 40 lbs. i have to carry him down the stairs in the morning. carry him to the door. hold him(while he is excited or pulling the other way to get hom ouit the door for a pee. Feel stronger.

i also do more floor sweeping, washing..e.ct with the puppy.

on warm days we walk them too.

so with all this and he finally mostly sleeping through the night i deserve a break...and have been taking one.

oh dh brought me pie last week...it was so good.

I have learned with my diabetes that a lot of diet or sugar free stuff has a lot of carbs in it. that is a no no for diabetes. the more you leave out the better. so watching that now more than a bit of sugar....has been working too

You do deserve it & should not feel guilty .. mho

yes i know sounds confusing.

trust me...i do not eat for one day donuts for breakfast , lunch and dinner.

I would eat my normal breakfast of oatmeal mixture

lunch is whatever. snack on a cookie

dinner is whater with my fruits and then a pie

snack later on chips

I am not calling it a cheat day , I just have the cookie and pie. when the pie is gone then it is cookies.

Yes...that would Sundays when I have a donut...right now I'm trying not to do more than that.
I see nothing wrong with planning a "cheat" day if you can get back on track the day.

But then as long as you know it's ok

Nice going :)
