It was a quiet weekend, something I really needed after last weekend's excitment, so I spent a lot of it sitting with my foot up. (I got knocked over and stepped on by a horse last weekend.) It was cold and wet Saturday, but mostly just cold yesterday so we only had a couple of trick or treaters last night. Dh said they were too big to be going door to door.

We don't really know the neighbors here yet so I had a hunt for my kids in the house last night. I hid some candy for them, and they hunted in the dark with glow sticks. LOL! That took a while but they had a good time. It also gives me control over how much candy they get. :oX

We're back to cold and wet today, really wet.

I had the oddest weekend ever and that is why I have been MIA! Aside from having thrown the class party for my 7yo. Running between schools to drop things off and then coming home exhausted to then get ready in a rush for a rehearsal dinner that my DH was running very late for. I had to prepare for the most disastrous wedding I have ever attended! We had seriously considered not going except for the fact that my DH was a groomsman. Consider it woman's intuition but I had a sneaky suspicion something was going to happen and boy did it ever. Saturday rolled around and as usuall DH was running very late.

We showed up just in time for him to jump into the pictures. Meanwhile, I knowing no one there, was willing to help the bride's family decorate. Little did I know that the groom's aunt had decided that she was taking charge of the whole operation and then overruled people that worked in the church and the wedding coordinator!! She had some nerve! 30 min. before the ceremony, I was walking down to the front of the church to put out the basket of programs. She actually yelled at full strength that the center isle was not a place that I was allowed to walk. that was reserved for people of honor and I was a mere guest!
